Today is Valentine’s Day. For many, a day to celebrate. For others, a day of mixed emotions. I know singles who wish they could just sleep this day away! A healthy relationship can be a big blessing while a hurtful or lost relationship can bring pain. Valentine’s Day has a way of bringing all of that into focus.
From day one, the “why” of Awesome Marriage is to not only have a zero divorce rate, but to also see marriages thriving and people putting God first and their spouse second. This is what drives us at Awesome Marriage. We are passionate about helping you build an Awesome Marriage. We believe there is potential in every marriage. Over the past nine years, we have seen God do amazing things in marriages. Marriages that were on the brink of failure are now thriving. It happens every day. Did every marriage go from ground zero to the mountaintop? No. But many did, and that is the reason our “why” will never change.
Our “why” is our vision, which leads us to the “how” of our mission. The “how” is our content: podcasts; YouVersion plans; One Thing emails and podcasts; our YouTube channel; our presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram; our web page, and more. Our “how” this year will continue to add resources to help you have the marriage God designed especially for the two of you.
Thanks to you who give, pray, encourage, and share. The reach of Awesome Marriage is truly global. It is interesting that even though there are so many different cultures around the world, God’s plan for marriage works everywhere. It is timeless. In this early part of 2019, our team is more fired up and passionate than ever before. We cannot wait to see all that God will do in Awesome Marriage and in the lives of those we serve this year.
This Valentine’s Day, if you are married, celebrate what God has done, is doing, and will do in your marriage. Commit that from this day forward He will be first in your life and marriage and your spouse will be second, above all else.
This Valentine’s Day, if you are single and desiring an Awesome Marriage, pray and have confidence that God will provide at the right time and place. Use these single days to grow closer to Him and to prepare yourself to be the spouse He created you to be.
Because of our amazingly good God, we can all celebrate Him and His plans for us today.
