All The Things I’ve Learnt About Love…

I have romantically Loved three people in my life.

The first: I learnt a lot about myself and it set me up to know how to be in a relationship, I broke his heart by falling out of Love. The second, I Loved and he would not Love me back. The third has been a rollercoaster, but has proved that hard times really do make you stronger. I honestly wouldn’t ask for anyone else.

In my short time as a relationship and dating blogger, as well as a human-bean, I have read, experienced and learnt a lot about Love. I’m no shining example, and have a spectacular ability to not take my own advice (but who can?!). But I have understood various elements of Love, how Love can make you feel and act.

Here are all the things I’ve learnt about Love: 

– Love is just another word, until someone comes along and gives it meaning.

– Love makes you feel tingly, like a warmth spreading throughout your body.

– Losing Love is the hardest thing you will ever go through. But losing Love will make you stronger.

– Love makes us do stupid things.

– You can’t change people no matter how much you Love them.

– No matter how hurt you’ve been by Love, you will always be able to Love again.

– If someone’s actions prove that they don’t Love you, move on.

– It doesn’t matter how much you Love someone, you can’t force them to Love you back.

– You can still Love someone, even if you don’t like them very much.

– Great sex doesn’t necessarily mean great Love. But sex is always better when you Love the person.

– You can fancy other people or find them attractive, even when in Love with your partner. It’s the acting on it that’s bad.

– Loving someone is a risk, but it’s always a risk worth taking.

– There are no “happily ever afters” in Love. Love is hard work, especially to last a lifetime.

– Love is the most powerful, underlying, mood-altering, time-moving drug.

– It’s better to have Loved and lost, than to have never Loved at all.

Real Love is unconditional. meaning that there are no expectations or limitations set. To Love unconditionally is a difficult thing, and most humans aren’t good at that. But true Love really does Love without trying to change the other person.
